Salty Plants Aim: to see how salinity affects plants.
Hypothesis; I think the salt plant will not grow as fast as the no salt plant.
Apparatus:
2 plastic clear cups
cotton
Radish seeds
Water
A Permanent texta
Salt
Method: 1.initially put a handful of cotton into each cup 2.soon after that place some radish seeds into the cups 3.next choose one of the cups and put in salt 4.label the one with salt “salt” and the other one “no salt” 5.every day, for about a week water the seeds and make sure the water is damp
Results: I found out that the seeds with salt did not germinate but the other seeds sprouted.
Conclusion: the salt soaks up the water and the plants cannot live without water so the seeds can’t germinate but the other seeds have enough water so they can grow.
